Qualifying Organizations

Journal for the Planet strives to effect tangible change for the environment by bridging the gap between science and action. To achieve this, the Journal require editors and board directors to have experience working with a qualifying organization (via past or present employment, authorship, or award), to ensure a leadership team with experience working at the interface of science and action. Qualifying organizations are organizations working at the interface of science and society to communicate complex scientific ideas on critical environmental issues to a broad audience to help inform citizens and policy makers alike. Journal for the Planet aims to take the work that qualifying organizations do to communicate evidence-based science to a wide audience and scale it to the daily operations of a scholarly journal.
